Privacy Policy
What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to get it changed or removed.
Last updated September 2026. This policy applies to Endeavour Screens, of Ashmore, Gold Coast QLD.
Who we are
Endeavour Screens manufactures and installs security screens, security doors and related products on the Gold Coast. We operate from Ashmore, Queensland.
We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can access or correct it.
Information we collect
We only collect information we actually need in order to quote for, build and install your screens. That usually means:
- Contact details such as your name, phone number and email address.
- The property address where the work is to be carried out, so we can attend the site measure and the installation.
- Details about the job, including measurements, the openings to be screened, product and colour selections, and any access notes you give us.
- Photographs of the openings and the completed work (see section 5).
- Payment information. If you pay by card or bank transfer, the payment itself is handled by our bank or payment provider. We do not store your full card number.
- Correspondence between us, including emails, text messages and notes of phone calls.
We do not collect sensitive information such as health information, and we do not ask for government identifiers like your driver licence or tax file number.
How we collect it
In most cases we collect information directly from you: when you fill in the contact form on our website, call or email us, talk to us at your home during a measure, or place an order.
Sometimes we receive your details from someone else, for example a builder, architect, property manager, body corporate or a family member arranging work on your behalf. If that happens, we use the information only for the job it was given to us for.
Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- prepare and send you a quote;
- arrange the site measure and the installation;
- manufacture products to the correct specifications;
- take payment and issue invoices and receipts;
- honour warranty claims and carry out repairs or servicing;
- answer your questions and keep you updated on your job;
- meet our record keeping, tax and insurance obligations.
We keep your measurements and product details on file because they are genuinely useful later. If a screen is damaged years afterwards, having the original specifications means we can rebuild it correctly without starting again.
Photographs of your home
We usually photograph the openings before we start and the finished installation afterwards. Those photographs are part of the job record and help us with warranty and remanufacture.
We sometimes also like to show completed work on our website or on social media. We will ask you first. If you would rather we did not, just tell us, and that decision will not affect your job or your price in any way. If you agree and later change your mind, contact us and we will remove the images from anything we control.
We do not publish your name, your street address or anything else that would identify where you live alongside those photographs.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anybody, and we do not share it for someone else's marketing.
We share it only where it is needed to do your job, which may include:
- our installers and tradespeople attending your property;
- suppliers and manufacturers, where a component is ordered specifically for your job;
- our accountant, bookkeeper and bank, for invoicing and payment;
- our insurer or lawyers, if a claim or dispute arises;
- anyone we are legally required to disclose information to.
Some of the software we use to run the business, such as email and website hosting, may store data on servers outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers who protect information to a comparable standard.
Our website
Our website is deliberately simple and light on tracking.
- The contact form. What you type into the quote request form is emailed straight to us. It is not stored in a marketing database and it does not sign you up to anything.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and to keep the site running. That is normal for any website.
- Fonts. Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser makes a request to Google when the page loads.
- No advertising or analytics trackers. We do not run advertising pixels or third party analytics, and we do not set cookies to follow you around other websites.
If you click through to our Instagram or Facebook pages, those platforms have their own privacy policies which we do not control.
Storing and protecting your information
Your information is held in our email, our quoting and accounting systems, and in job files. We take reasonable steps to protect it, including access controls, password protection on business accounts and keeping our software up to date.
No system is completely secure. If a data breach happens that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.
How long we keep it
We keep job records, including measurements and invoices, for at least seven years. That covers our tax obligations and the period in which a warranty or consumer law claim could reasonably be made.
Enquiries that never became jobs are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email info@endeavourscreens.com.au or call 07 5539 2389.
We will respond within a reasonable time and there is normally no charge. We may need to verify who you are first. In some cases we may not be able to delete everything, for example where we are legally required to keep invoices, and if so we will explain why.
Marketing and opting out
We may occasionally contact past customers about servicing, or to let them know about something relevant to the products they bought. We do not send frequent marketing email.
Every marketing message we send includes a way to opt out, and you can tell us at any time to stop. Contacting you about a job that is already underway is not marketing and will continue regardless.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first. Email info@endeavourscreens.com.au with the details and we will look into it and come back to you.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your complaint, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the date it was last updated is shown at the top.
